WANdisco Announces Release of Apache Subversion 1.6.19
SAN RAMON, CA, Sep 21, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
WANdisco (LSE: WAND) a leading provider of Apache Subversion based
software and services for the enterprise and a corporate contributor
to the Subversion project, today announced that a new release of the
open source version control system, Apache Subversion 1.6 series is
available.
Apache Subversion 1.6.19 includes fixes and enhancements for users of
the 1.6 series, including:
-- A fix for a server hang that could occur if a hook script failed to
start
-- A fix for a write-through proxy commit regression introduced in
Subversion 1.6.17
-- Partial sync drops properties when converting to adds
-- A fix for the testsuite to avoid FAILs on APR hash order
Apache Subversion 1.7.6 can be downloaded for free from the WANdisco
website, and is also available through the award-winning, open ALM
uberSVN platform. uberSVN users have the option of toggling between
the latest 1.7 releases of Subversion and the 1.6.19 release from
inside their uberSVN installation using the innovative "SVN Switch"
feature.
As part of its commitment to the project, WANdisco will also be
hosting a series of dedicated conferences for the Subversion
community in San Francisco, Greenwich/New York and London throughout
October 2012. Subversion Live is a series of two-day events featuring
sessions covering everything from Subversion's future to expert-led
best practices workshops. Attendees will have the unique opportunity
to meet the core Subversion committers, including director of the
Apache Software Foundation, Greg Stein.
