Stats ChipPac Names Gary Tanner as DirectorAug 01, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Stats ChipPac, a semiconductor test and packaging service provider, has announced the appointment of Gary Tanner as a member to its Board of Directors with immediate effect. "We welcome Gary Tanner to the Stats ChipPac Board. His experience and understanding of the semiconductor industry will make Gary a valuable addition to the Board," said Charles Wofford, Chairman of Stats ChipPac. Gary Tanner previously served as Director, CEO and President of Zarlink Semiconductor, Inc. until it was acquired by Microsemi Corp. in Oct. 2011. Before joining Zarlink in 2007, Tanner was VP of Operations of Legerity, Inc. from 2002 to 2007. During his tenure with Intel Corp. from 1993 to 2002, Tanner held various management positions managing multiple domestic and international locations. Prior to joining Intel in 1993, Tanner held various management roles in fab operations at National Semiconductor, Texas Instruments and NCR Corp.
