GROM-USB2P provides seamless interface for Android Smartphone, USB stick, iPhone(R), iPod(R), or MP3 player to OEM car stereo system. The driver is able to connect his/her mobile device directly to the factory car radio for audio streaming and integrated controls.
GROM system can be upgraded with Bluetooth Dongle. Hands free in-car calling (HFP), wireless audio (A2DP) and Bluetooth controls (AVRCP) become available for the user with this optional accessory.
New GROM-USB2P module features powerful chip inside that makes room for more advanced technology and supported functionality.
GROM engineering team highlighted some of the features that will be added with new design. Among them are: support for Free Losseless Audio Codec (FLAC) with tags, Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) with M4A tags for iTunes(R) files.
In addition GROM-USB2P will allow streaming online music (radio and cloud storage) from Android phones via standard MicroUSB cable connection. Consumers will be able to see name tags on the screen and control music selection directly from car stereo, steering wheel or the phone itself.
In some cars (like Lexus or Toyota with Navigation) GROM-USB2P will feature advanced music browsing by genres, playlists, artists, albums and songs.
