Silicon Mechanics Announces The Arrival Of Servers Based On The Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E3-1200

These will be some of the first servers with processors based on Intel's new Ivy Bridge microarchitecture, which provides faster and more power-efficient performance than its predecessor, Sandy Bridge.



Silicon Mechanics now offers three servers which utilize the Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E3-1200 family, and plans to expand Ivy Bridge capability to more product families as it becomes available. The current servers based on the Intel Xeon E3-1200 V2 product family feature up to 32 GB DDR3-1600 RAM, four Ethernet ports, a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, and 80 PLUS Gold Certified power supplies.
