Geminare Expands Patented CORE Platform to Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Jun 19, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Geminare, a global company focusing on the Cloud Enablement market, has announced a significant milestone with the integration of its patented Cloud OnRamp Enablement (CORE) Platform with the Microsoft Windows Azure marketplace.

Through this integration, the Company noted that Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) looking to capitalize on online marketplaces like Microsoft's Windows Azure Marketplace can now leverage the power of Geminare's CORE Platform. The CORE Platform enables the rapid transition of ISV applications into hybrid Cloud solutions, delivering seamless integration of billing, transaction processing, management and reporting in a multi-tiered, Channel-delivered ecosystem -- all through the Azure Marketplace.

According to a release, the Geminare CORE Platform accommodates a multi-tiered, multi-channel distribution model instantly for virtually all solutions delivered in the Cloud, demonstrating the functionality that was recently recognized by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) through the granting of the industry's RaaS Platform patent.

"The integration with global marketplace initiatives such as Microsoft's Windows Azure Marketplace represents a substantial expansion in vendor accessibility that we've made to our CORE Platform since being awarded the USPTO Patent earlier this year," said Joshua Geist, President and CEO of Geminare. "The partnership with Microsoft allows software vendors to embrace the Cloud with confidence, knowing their applications are being delivered from the Azure Marketplace by a proven and mature proprietary platform." According to Jeffrey M. Kaplan, the Managing Director of Thinkstrategies, a consulting firm which helps IT decision-makers and technology solution providers leverage the value of cloud computing and managed services, and the founder of the Cloud Computing Showplace and Cloud Channel Summit conferences, "Thinkstrategies believes there is shift in the market in the way Channel Partners are seeking to sell their software solutions to customers. Resellers have recognized that a hybrid approach is becoming a requirement to stay relevant in today's rapidly evolving 'On-Demand' market. It is our view that businesses and consumers alike will turn in vast numbers to online marketplaces when they are looking to spend their tight IT budgets in the future." Geist added, "The software marketplace is undergoing a tectonic shift in purchasing patterns as companies worldwide are embracing the on-demand buying model inherent in the Cloud. Software providers need to transition their offerings to the Cloud, or get left behind. Now they can without having to rewrite software by simply leveraging the CORE IP." The solution enabled by CORE in the Windows Azure Marketplace is myVault Email Archive powered by Microsoft Windows Azure. The Company reported that the solution was made available earlier this month through a strategic partnership between Microsoft and Geminare.
