Ethernet Alliance Technology Exploration Forum to Provide End Users with Platform to Share Real-World Experience with the Ethernet Community--(Business Wire)-- The Ethernet Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and advancement of Ethernet technologies, announces that the Technology Exploration Forum (TEF) 2012 -- The End Users Speak! will feature 14 industry experts, high-level executives, and chief technology officers with years of experience and unique perspectives on Ethernet and its role in their networks. This intimate and interactive gathering of professionals will focus on the future needs of Ethernet as information technology evolves over the next decade. WHAT: TEFs are an ongoing series of forums sponsored by the Ethernet Alliance to enable industry discussion and consensus building on various topics. The Ethernet Alliance organizes a TEF when it sees a need for members of the Ethernet ecosystem to come together and communicate with each other about the continuing evolution of Ethernet and its potential impact on Ethernet standards and technology. The Ethernet industry has developed a great deal of technology over the last 10 years. On Thursday, February 16, The Ethernet Alliance is devoting a full day to listening to what end users have to say about the industry's most important topics.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This event is for people who are interested in voicing their opinions and engaging in discussions that are making an impact and will help steer the Ethernet industry. The Ethernet Alliance invites end users with networks of all different sizes, technologists, system and component providers, standards makers, and people involved in defining future Ethernet products to join together at this historical meeting, the sixth TEF, and the first to focus solely on end users. WHY ATTEND: Those who attend TEF 2012 - The End Users Speak! will participate in the continued evolution of next-generation Ethernet technologies and gain valuable information and insight into the advancements shaping the Ethernet ecosystem. "This is going to be an exciting and informative event," said John D'Ambrosia, chair, Ethernet Alliance board of directors. "TEF 2012 - The End Users Speak! is designed to allow the end user community to share their Ethernet experiences with the Ethernet developer community. We are looking forward to lively discussions about Ethernet network architectures and application requirements to help determine what end-users need from Ethernet for their networks."
