TimeSight Systems Appoints New VP, Worldwide Sale

May 27, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TimeSight Systems, a provider of Video Lifecycle Management (VLM), announced that industry sales executive Wolfgang Ritter has joined the company as VP, Worldwide Sales.

Ritter joins the company at a time when the surveillance industry is dealing with escalating camera counts, increasingly higher resolution, and a trend towards longer retention times, all of which are creating a very real storage issue and the need for advanced storage management technologies such as those found in the TimeSight platform.

"After spending years in the security industry, I'm convinced that this is the perfect time to join TimeSight to help drive adoption of the company's video management system in the market," said Ritter. "The rapid uptake of megapixel cameras, coupled with the wave of surveillance moving onto the corporate IP networks, has created a storage burden that needs Video Lifecycle Management for these surveillance networks to be sustainable." Prior to joining TimeSight, Ritter has been a top sales executive with a number of international organizations in the surveillance industry, including Intelligent Security Systems and Mobotix, one of the top four megapixel camera companies worldwide. In his role at Mobotix, he was responsible for their US market expansion which established the company as a key player in the US domestic market for high-resolution surveillance cameras, constructing both reseller and distribution channel models.

"Wolfgang has demonstrated a keen ability to drive increased adoption of new technologies in the physical security market," stated Charles Foley, CEO of TimeSight Systems. "His background in understanding the customer segments that are investing in high resolution surveillance is a perfect fit with our unique VLM technology that enables these next-generation surveillance networks by slashing the server and storage requirements by up to ninety percent." TimeSight Systems Inc. was formed by industry executives with decades of systems, server, storage, software, networking, security, compliance and law enforcement experience to address the growing need for high resolution, IP based video surveillance systems.
