AIS Introduces a 7 Inch Widescreen Touch Panel Computer Featuring Windows CE for Web-Enabled HMI SCADA Client Applications

American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS), introduces a low-cost 7 inch Widescreen Compact HMI panel computer designed for manufacturing, process control, industrial and machine automation. AIS' 7" HMI operator interface terminal comes preloaded with Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows CE, Ethernet connectivity and optional industry-standard InduSoft Web Studio HMI/ SCADA software. The open HMI panel is designed for machine-level, site-level or mid-level HMI applications utilizing touch functionality for data logging, operating and monitoring in every automation segment.

AIS 7" touch panels are powered by the Intel (News - Alert)® Atom™ 1.6 GHz processor with 2.5W thermal design power (TDP) and 1.56 TDP to clock speed ratio (W/GHz) which allows for a passive and fanless cooling system architecture. The touch panel pc is designed to NEMA 1/12/4 sealing standards, meeting high levels of dust, dirt, grease, moisture, humidity, shock, vibration and EMI/RFI (News - Alert) resistance compliance. The open source web-enable HMI touch panel pc's run Microsoft Windows operating systems, along with integrated standard communication interface features including Gigabit Ethernet, RS232, and RS422/485 serial ports can connects to industrial automation PLC, DCS, SCADA and PAC systems.

With touch screen capability, ruggedized housing, andseveral I/O connections, the AIS´ widescreen operator interface terminal is a powerful cost effective system that is available commercially off the shelf and is easily deployable into building, factory, and industrial automation applications. AIS´ commercial off the shelf (COTS) predesigned operator terminal provides a cost effective control interface which is easily integrated to new and existing installations reducing the time to market and competitiveness where service, availability, reliability, and technology are paramount.
