ViewSonic ViewPad Tablet Computer to Debut in China Next Feb


BEIJING, Dec 10, 2010 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- ViewSonic plans to release its first tablet computer ViewPad on the Chinese market in February 2011, which support 3G+WiFi and is sod at about CNY 3,000.

ViewPad debuted at the International Electronics Fair in Berlin, Germany in September 2010, and re-appeared at the Qualcomm Partner Conference in China held on December 9. The configuration details are richer. ViewPad adopts the operation system Android 2.2, Qualcomm MSM 7227 600MHz processor, seven-inch screen with resolution ratio of 800??480, and 300 megapixel auto-focus lens, supporting the maximum 32GB of microSD card expansion.



Based on 3G+WiFi, ViewPad can be used for video call. ViewPad with seven-inch screen has been available on the US market, with online price of USD 599.

Statistics compiled by Gartner show that the number of tablet computers in the globe has surged to 10.05 million in 2010 from 1.06 million in 2009, and the global tablet market size will grow to USD 3.6 billion in 2010.
