Fortune 500 Companies Continue to Sign with CaseCentral for In-House eDiscovery
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
CaseCentral, the leader in secure, cloud-based eDiscovery software for
corporate counsel and law firms to simplify and take control of
eDiscovery, today announced that six new Fortune 500 companies
have selected the CaseCentral
eDiscovery Platform. The new clients join a growing list of
corporations and law firms who depend on CaseCentral's
cloud-based software to support their in-house eDiscovery needs.
CaseCentral's customers include more than 32 Fortune 100 companies and
more than 83 of the American Lawyer 100 companies. The company also
reported that it has returned to EBITDA profitability in the trailing
three months and has experienced double-digit year-to-date revenue
growth.
"Enterprises are increasingly making the strategic decision to bring
eDiscovery in-house, to achieve significant time and cost savings and to
gain greater control over the eDiscovery process," said Tom Thimot,
President and CEO of CaseCentral. "In today's world, the vast majority
of tools used for eDiscovery support only a single case. CaseCentral's
integrated, multi-matter eDiscovery software platform, which is
delivered via cloud computing / software as a service, provides our
clients with greater repeatability and accessibility without the burden
of expensive IT infrastructure. This has continued to fuel CaseCentral's
market momentum as evidenced by the signing of multiple new Fortune 500
clients and partners, our double-digit revenue growth, and our return to
EBITDA profitability."
The new clients selected CaseCentral to provide a comprehensive set of
repeatable, defensible and measurable eDiscovery capabilities.
CaseCentral will be used for processing, early case assessment,
analysis, review, production and post-production re-use capabilities for
both single and multiple matters.
With CaseCentral
Enterprise eDiscovery, clients configure standard litigation
processes that can then be repeated with every new matter. Security,
data architecture, attorney training and work product are quickly
leveraged from one matter to the next. This automated approach enables
eDiscovery to be managed as a repeatable process rather than a reactive,
one-off event, turning the matter-by-matter approach into a
cost-efficient business process for every case.

Continued Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) and Cloud Computing Growth
"SaaS advantages, such as ease of deployment, easy upgrades and the
ability to scale up and down quickly depending on the size of the
matter, benefit legal users who wish to avoid conventional buying and
support services from their internal IT departments. This will allow
legal departments to contract directly for e-discovery functionality
with very little risk and no implementation delays."1
Application delivery via the cloud provides control without the burden
of infrastructure. When bringing eDiscovery in-house,
corporations, law firms and service providers are finding a
secure, private cloud-based application compelling. Clients control
the eDiscovery process, data and access, without incurring the costs,
risks and time delays inherent in on-premise software deployment and
use. Cloud-based applications provide a centralized environment needed
to give corporations and law firms control over their eDiscovery
projects while enabling seamless collaboration with users outside the
firewall, including service providers and outside counsel. Additionally,
cloud-based applications minimize the requests for internal IT
departments to constantly purchase infrastructure and modify corporate
network and security standards for third party access, which can
increase security risks.
CaseCentral's cloud-based
eDiscovery platform provides elastic capacity, on-demand. Clients
can support large fluctuations in ESI (News - Alert) data volumes without paying for
additional storage hardware or infrastructure. And clients can add new
users, reviewers and cases immediately without waiting on over-taxed IT
departments.
