Orange launches Blackberry Solution in Armenia
(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSX:RIM), a Canadian smart phone manufacturer, yesterday announced that Orange Armenia, a subsidiary of France Telecom (NYSE:FTE) and a provider of mobile voice and Internet services, is to launch the BlackBerry Solution in Armenia.
The company said that the BlackBerry solution brings together smart phones, software and services to allow users wireless access to e-mail, phone, calendar, Web, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications.
At launch, the Armenian operator will be offering subscribers the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smart phone, which offers support for 3G HSPDA networks with a 624 MHz processor, 256 MB flash memory, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
No details of subscription charges or handset costs were provided.
