Kansas Public Libraries Expand Contract with Auto-Graphics

Aug 23, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Auto-Graphics, a provider of library automation solutions, announced the North Central Kansas Library System and the NorthWest Kansas Library System have expanded their contracts to offer the AGent Verso integrated library system to 13 additional public libraries throughout Kansas.

According to a release, this contract expansion brings the total number of libraries in Kansas using AGent Verso up to 89.

Both library systems have selected the Software as a Service hosted delivery method, which provides full system support and maintenance. In addition, all libraries have opted to integrate AGent Search, Auto-Graphics' federated search solution which provides completely integrated simultaneous searching of all available resources including subscription content databases, bibliographic databases and the open web. The libraries will also use AGent Iluminar, Auto-Graphics' interface built with the Adobe Flex framework.

Participating NCKLS libraries include: -Abilene Public Library -Council Grove Public Library -Hanover Public Library -Washington Public Library -Leonardville City Library -Enterprise Public Library -Solomon Public Library Participating NWKLS libraries include: -Almena City Libraries -Pioneer Memorial Library -Oberlin City Library -Selden Public Library -Sharon Springs Public Library -Sheridan County Library The NCKLS libraries have also selected the Circulation-Interlibrary Loan Link module, allowing them to fully leverage the State Library of Kansas' existing statewide interlibrary loan investment, AGent Resource Sharing, which is also provided by Auto-Graphics. Participating NCKLS libraries will now provide a single user interface for staff and patrons to manage both ILL and ILS transactions further streamlining workflow and empowering patrons to initiate and track their own ILL transactions.
