Resilient storage solutions provider Cleversafe Inc announced on
Tuesday the latest release of Cleversafe software version 2.1.
The company said the latest release delivers on the key requirements
necessary for service providers to manage cloud storage as part of
their overall service offerings, while providing new flexible
deployment options for customers.
The solution offers the following new features: integration with
existing service provider systems through enhanced API, enabling
billing systems, CRM solutions and management consoles to integrate
with Cleversafe Dispersed Storage; Active Directory authentication with
service providers' systems; and Cleversafe's ObjectOMeter to tests
performance related to the client SDK.
With the new release, the company also offers customers more flexible
deployment options, including bundled Cleversafe Dispersed Storage
hardware and Cleversafe 2.1 software.
Cleversafe software is java-based and accessible through standard
interfaces, making it suitable for customers that need a secure,
portable solution for their storage needs. The solution also leverages
standard components such as Intel x86 processors and Seagate SATA
drives for easy integration with existing data centre infrastructures.

storage nodes, per spindle pricing, 4 spindle license priced at
USD3,800 and 12 spindle license priced at USD10,200; and Manager 2.1 -
management system, per CPU socket, USD7,000.
Starting price for a configuration for 64TB raw capacity (based on
using 2TB drives) is USD43,400 for software licenses only and USD73,000
for bundled hardware and software. Pricing includes a Manager
appliance, two Accesser routers and eight Slicestor storage nodes.
