Southwest Airlines launches new non-stop Boston-Philadelphia service


Jun 28, 2010 (AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION via COMTEX) -- Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) announced yesterday that it began its non-stop service between Boston Logan International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.

Initially the American airline's service will begin with five daily non-stop flights between the two cities and from 14 August 2010 the airline will add three extra services bringing the total number of flights to eight a day.

The airline, to accommodate its recent growth in Boston, has now got an additional gate at the airline's current location in Terminal E, bringing its total number of gates at Logan to three.
