TRADE NEWS: Agilent Technologies and GOEPEL electronic GmbH Announce Availability of Boundary Scan Module for Agilent Utility Card

SANTA CLARA, Calif. & JENA, Germany --(Business Wire)--

Agilent (News - Alert) Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) and GOEPEL electronic GmbH today announced the release of the UCM3070 Boundary Scan plug-in module for the N1807A-001 Agilent Utility Card, an option for the Agilent Medalist i3070 Series 5 in-circuit tester (ICT).

The UCM3070 is the first boundary scan solution for the Agilent Utility Card and is part of a marketing agreement between the two high-tech companies. The agreement will make it possible for customers to easily combine in-circuit test capabilities from Agilent Technologies (News - Alert) with the boundary-scantest capabilities from GOEPEL electronic.

"The UCM3070 easily integrates with the Agilent Medalist i3070 Series 5 through the Agilent Utility Card," said Adrian Cheong, i3070 ICT product manager of Agilent's Measurement Systems Division. "With this solution customers can save on test development time by integrating their existing GOEPEL boundary scan test solutions directly into our in-circuit testers."

"Our collaboration with Agilent brings about greater user flexibility when it comes to boundary scan testing for printed circuit board assemblies," said Bettina Richter, marketing maager of GOEPEL electronic. "With the UCM3070, our customers have the opportunity to use their boundary scan test, generated with our SYSTEM CASCON software, on the Agilent Medalist i3070 Series 5 ICT system."

The UCM3070 module can be attached to the Agilent Utility Card. The module communicates with the host system via USB and is based on SCANBOOSTER architecture for test clock of up to 16 Mhz. The Agilent validated plug-in card enables GOEPEL's boundary scan test with two test access ports (1.8 V to 4.5 V), eight parallel interface ports for faster flash programming, optional analog channels and a self-test routine.

Agilent's standardized software interface for utility cards, introduced with the i3070 Series 5, is used to integrate the SYSTEM CASCON software.

The UCM3070 Boundary Scan plug-in module is available from GOEPEL electronic, its worldwide network of resellers and directly from Agilent Technologies.
