Intel Capital announces USD10m investment in TRA
(EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Intel Capital, the global investment arm of Silicon chip manufacturer Intel Corporation (Nasdaq:INTC), has made a USD10m investment in TRA (True ROI Accountability for Media), a media planning, measurement and analytics software company.
The company said on Wednesday that this investment is part of an USD18.2m Series-C round lead by Intel Capital, which includes participation from existing investors Arbitron and WPP.
TRA will reportedly use the funding for market expansion, continued technology innovation, data acquisition and hiring additional key personnel.
Funding for the investment comes from the USD200m Intel Capital Invest in America Technology Fund, which invests in US-based, growth-oriented industries to foster economic recovery and development.
