'Carphone debuts HipLogic Live app store'

(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Carphone Warehouse has dropped its app store name, SnappLife, and instead with software company HipLogic has launched an application interface called HipLogic Live. The move will allow the independent mobile phone retailer to deliver access to mobile content and services to its customers through most Nokia handsets, Windows Mobile and later, Android. HipLogic Live is a free application that connects people to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and media content from providers such as Sky News and Sports. It also offers an app store with access to game titles and additional real-time content. HipLogic comes pre-installed on handsets. The application also serves as an 'affinity tool' to better manage and build customer relationships for Carphone.
