ExactTarget Releases 1Q 2010 Financial Results

May 05, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- ExactTarget, a global provider of email marketing and interactive marketing solutions, announced it posted record performance in the first quarter, boosting revenue by 37 percent over the same period in 2009.

In an April 29 release, the company noted that the increase in revenue marks the thirty seventh consecutive quarter of growth for the company that recorded key accomplishments in the quarter including the acquisition of Twitter platform CoTweet, historic levels of client integrations and securing new clients and key renewals including Papa John's, Jones Lang LaSalle and Ulta Cosmetics.

"Our continued quarter on quarter growth is a solid reflection of our unsurpassed ability to provide marketers the technologies and expertise they need to compete and win in an ever-changing interactive marketing landscape," said Scott Dorsey, ExactTarget's chief executive officer and co-founder. "Through our acquisition of CoTweet and unsurpassed investment in our technology platform, we are creating a complete interactive marketing hub to provide organizations a single source to connect with clients across all interactive channels and drive unparalleled return on investment." Key highlights of ExactTarget's first quarter performance include: -acquiring enterprise Twitter platform CoTweet; -establishing a Social Media Lab in San Francisco to spearhead social media product development; -increasing total client integrations with Microsoft Dynamics CRM to more than 500; -increasing total client integrations with Salesforce.com to more than 1,000; -increasing revenue generated outside of North America by more than 150 percent over the same period in 2009; and -hiring more than 70 employees, bringing total company employment to more than 600.

The news of ExactTarget's record-setting quarter follows Forrester Research naming ExactTarget a "leader" in email marketing and awarding the company a perfect 5 of 5 in the Customer Category of "The Forrester Wave: Email Marketing Service Providers Q4 2009" (December 2009) report. The independent research firm found ExactTarget to be the only email service provider to score a perfect score in the Customers Category, noting "with high satisfaction scores and online community, ExactTarget can successfully meet marketers' complex business needs."
