Microtune Launches Internet Availability of Proxy Materials for 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders

Apr 14, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Microtune, Inc. announced that proxy materials for its 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders are available on the Internet in accordance with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Notice and Access Rule that allows companies to furnish their proxy materials over the Internet.

As a result, Microtune said it is mailing to its stockholders a notice regarding the Internet availability of the proxy materials instead of a paper copy of its proxy statement and 2009 Annual Report on Form 10-K. This notice contains instructions regarding how to access Microtune's proxy statement and 2009 Annual Report over the Internet and how to vote electronically over the Internet or in person at the Annual Meeting. Microtune believes that this new process will reduce the printing and postage costs of distributing paper copies of its proxy materials.

Microtune's proxy statement and 2009 Annual Report have been filed with the SEC, and may also be viewed at Microtune's website at www.microtune.com. Microtune stockholders who wish to obtain paper copies of Microtune's proxy materials at no charge may do so by following the instructions provided in the notice regarding the Internet availability of the proxy materials that is being mailed to stockholders who held shares on the record date of March 24, or by writing to Investor Relations, Microtune, 2201 10th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.

Microtune's 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders will be held on Thursday, May 20, at 2 p.m. (Central Time) at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, 2601 E. George Bush, Plano, Texas 75074.
