BRIEF: Don't miss: Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey
Mar 11, 2010 (The Orlando Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
WHAT: It's a classic rock two-fer this weekend at the Amway Arena. Eric Clapton, more of an elder statesman than god nowadays, is on the road in the wake of a recent guitar-slinger summit with Jeff Beck at Madison Square Garden. Clapton isn't pushing any new music, so classics such as "I Shot the Sheriff," "Layla" and the rest will be the order of the day. And the blues, of course, only gets finer with age. In the opening slot, Daltrey will look to move beyond The Who's much-maligned Super Bowl halftime performance.
WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
WHERE: Amway Arena, 600 W. Amelia St., Orlando
COST: $46-$126
CALL: 407-839-3900
ONLINE: Ticketmaster.com
WHAT ELSE: Look for Jim Abbott's review after the show at OrlandoSentinel.com/soundboard
