RadiSys and Alliance Partner Program Ecosystem to Showcase Next-Generation Network Solutions at Mobile World Congress

HILLSBORO, Ore. --(Business Wire)-- RadiSys (News - Alert)® Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS), a leading global provider of application-ready software and hardware platforms, today announced it will demonstrate its latest solutions for next-generation networks at Mobile World Congress, February 15-18, in Barcelona, Spain. RadiSys will be joined by Centile (News - Alert), Enea and GoAhead Software, key members of its RadiSys Alliance Partner Program (RAPP), in the RadiSys Hospitality Suite #11, located in Hall 4, Level 2. RadiSys and Broadweb will also join LSI in its Hospitality Suite Avenue AV64.

When:   February 15-18, 2010   Where: RadiSys Hospitality Suite Hall 4, Level 2, Suite #11 LSI Hospitality Suite Avenue AV64 GSMA Mobile World Congress Exhibition, Barcelona, Spain RadiSys will demonstrate its newly announced Integrated Mobile (News - Alert) Media Server (IMMS) on its Convedia® Media Servers at Mobile World Congress. IMMS is a new service delivery system that enhances Mobile Service Providers' ability to grow 3G and 4G/LTE (News - Alert) service revenues beyond flat-rate data plans. The IMMS delivers two-way and N-way conversational video services, while also enhancing one-way streaming services, thereby shifting the point of service monetization back into the Mobile Service Providers' domain. In addition, by consolidating disparate service processing equipment into a single, cost-efficient carrier-class network element, the IMMS will reduce the overall costs for mass-market deployment of 3G and 4G/LTE mobile services.

During the show, RadiSys, in collaboration with LSI Corporation and Broadweb, will also showcase a wire-speed Application Recognition (or Application Identification) application which is optimized to use LSI Tarari (News - Alert) Content Processors in the LSI booth AV64. Application Recognition enables Service Providers to view the applications running on a networking infrastructure. This visibility allows Service Providers to manage traffic and bandwidth with greater precision and granularity to provide better service for subscribers, enable content-based billing for high-utilization applications and improve network quality of service and experience. The application will be available to Service Providers on RadiSys' new and legacy infrastructures.

"Today's wireless networks are being challenged to keep pace with the growing number of applications, such as streaming video and ever increasing demand for bandwidth," said Jim Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Networking Components Division, LSI. "Together LSI, Broadweb and RadiSys are demonstrating the improvements in customer experience that can be leveraged by greater knowledge about network traffic and tailoring latency and bandwidth for each application." RadiSys Alliance Partner Program The RadiSys Alliance Partner Program provides original equipment manufacturer customers with the broadest portfolio of standards-based building blocks in the industry that deliver choice and flexibility while significantly reducing development risk, time-to-market and cost. The breadth and depth of the RadiSys ecosystem results in solutions that not only address the underlying technological issues associated with migration to next-generation platforms, but also address the business and service model requirements between partners delivering a comprehensive solution. Participants in RAPP include providers of solutions, application-specific stacks, silicon, hardware building blocks, operating systems and middleware as well as channel distributors and pre-sale and after-sale service providers. Centile will host meetings and demonstrations in the RadiSys Hospitality Suite throughout the duration of the show. Partners Enea will host meetings February 15-16 and GoAhead Software will be available to demonstrate its technology on February 17.
