Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services Selects Cúram Software (Canada) as the Case Management Standard in Human Services
HERNDON, Va. --(Business Wire)--
Cúram Software, the leading provider of Social Enterprise Management (SEM) software solutions, today announced that the Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services has selected the Cúram Business Application Suite™ to establish a common case management platform for child welfare and income support. This initiative, called Linkin, will replace the patchwork of aging systems across the Ministry in an effort to standardize child welfare practices and improve service delivery to children and youth in care. It will also address recommendations from Saskatchewan's Provincial Auditor and Children's Advocate.
Saskatchewan's Ministry of Social Services invests in positive outcomes for people in areas of income and disability support and child and family services. Disparate information systems throughout the province and a lack of process standardization were causing discrepancies in service delivery and hindering timely, accurate reporting. Seeking an enterprise approach to service delivery, the Ministry selected Cúram Software as a common platform across programs and agencies in order to gain synergies, promote collaboration, and enhance service delivery.
Following a comprehensive procurement process led by a wide range of stakeholders, Cúram Software was selected as the preferred solution provider for its commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, which provides best-practice child welfare functionality out-of-the-box. In addition, the Cúram Solution software allows a holistic approach to service delivery across the enterprise with outcome-focused processes and tools. While the software was a fit for the new Linkin initiative, Cúram Software's substantial Canadian footprint and depth and breadth of experience in social services further solidified the Ministry's decision.
Cúram Software underscores its Canadian leadership position as the new enterprise standard in Saskatchewan, following the selection as an enterprise standard in the Provinces of Alberta and Ontario. Ongoing customer implementations include health and human services, workforce services and social services ministries throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
"The Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services conducted one of the most thorough, far-reaching evaluation and validation processes that we've seen to date," said Ernie Connon, president, Cúram Software. "We are very pleased that the process unanimously identified Cúram as the only fully functional, end-to-end solution capable of meeting their complex and dynamic needs. This selection demonstrates that Cúram can be deployed easily and cost effectively in small to midsized Provinces as well as in our historically large-scale projects."
