'Telenet launches high-speed FiberNet packages'

Feb 09, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Belgian cable network operator Telenet has revamped its broadband internet product offering with its new FiberNet packages, promising faster download speeds and higher volumes to all customers from mid-March. The operator plans to further increase download volume significantly in the course of the year. For its top-tier products FiberNet and TurboNet, Telenet will allow unlimited downloads from July. Telenet earlier announced the installation of Eurodocsis 3.0 in order to offer broadband speeds up to 120 Mbps. With the new installation, Telenet has launched FiberNet, a subscription offering high-speed broadband internet of up to 100 Mbps. The operator has reduced prices for its entry-level BasicNet, and has not increased prices for its other broadband products. Telenet also has a new webmail application with improved functionality and 5 GB of mailbox storage capacity.
