Gintel to provide Telenor Denmark with core technologies for its Mobile Multiplan service

Feb 08, 2010 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Gintel AS, a vendor of hosted enterprise software solutions, said today that it has been selected by Telenor Denmark to provider two core technologies for the mobile operator's Mobile Multiplan service.

Gintel will deliver its Multiplan Gateway (MPGW) which will allow both internal and partner applications to access resources within the Telenor Denmark system via a standard API interface, providing information on mobile terminal state and location, as well as call handling capabilities.

In addition, Gintel will deliver its Mobile Switchboard Application, a web-based GUI which allows switchboard attendants to monitor employee present and control inbound call traffic, ensuring that it is routed to the correct destination.

The companies said that the Mobile Multiplan product improves business efficiency and reduces costs by extending the functionality of premises-based PBX and Unified Communications platforms to mobile devices. With open API access, it is expected that enterprises will customise solutions to enrich their communications and interaction between business processes.

No financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
