Bytemobile names vice president and general manager of EMEA operations

Bytemobile, a provider of mobile internet solutions, has promoted Ian Sandman to vice president and general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa operations.
Mr Sandman will report to executive chairman Hatim Tyabji, he will be responsible for all of the company's sales activities and customer relationships in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Mr Sandman joined Bytemobile in 2001 as sales director of EMEA operations. He was promoted to area vice president in 2008. Mr Sandman was responsible for building the company's strategic relationships with Vodafone Group, T-Mobile International, KPN, Mobilkom Austria Group, and other wireless service providers.
Before joining Bytemobile, Mr Sandman was a senior account manager for satellite projects at Ericsson and held various sales training and customer support engineering positions at Nortel Networks and ICV. Previously, he served for eight years in the Royal Corps of Signals.
Mr Tyabji said: "Since joining Bytemobile, Ian has progressively expanded his responsibilities, with increasing success in each role. Thanks to his leadership, some of the largest network operators in the world have signed group supply agreements with Bytemobile and deployed our solutions across multiple properties.
