MIDLAND, Mich. --(Business Wire)-- The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) and Dow Electronic Materials today announced a sponsorship with LPGA rookie sensation Jiyai Shin. She joins LPGA TOUR player Suzann Petersen and PGA TOUR players Sean O'Hair and Corey Pavin in representing Dow and promoting Dow products that bring value to the golf market.

"We are very proud of our relationships with Suzann, Sean, Corey, and now Jiyai," said Mike Kolleth, Dow's global director of advertising and brand. "The personal and professional merit of these athletes make them very credible voices for Dow and allow us to promote the Dow brand to another key influential group in a unique and non-traditional way." She also finished the season as the leading LPGA money winner.

"It is such a joy to be associated with such a world renowned company like Dow," said Shin. "They are already doing so many wonderful things for the game of golf, so I would like to do my best to support Dow in any way that I can as well."
