Generex Inks Deal With Sanofi-Aventis for Insulin Supply
WORCESTER, Mass., Dec 9, 2009 -- Generex Biotechnology Corporation (Nasdaq:GNBT) (www.generex.com), the leader in drug delivery for metabolic diseases through the inner lining of the mouth, today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH (www.sanofi-aventis.com) for the manufacture and supply of recombinant human insulin crystals for commercial and clinical trial use in Generex's proprietary buccal insulin spray product, Generex Oral-lyn(TM). The financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
The API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Supply agreement will provide the Company with a source of insulin for major regulatory markets including the United States and Canada and a number of other regions where the Company is pursuing regulatory approvals for Generex Oral-lyn(TM).
The Company's regulatory team will commence the process of updating any and all current submissions to include sanofi-aventis' insulin crystal which will be formulated in the Generex Oral-lyn(TM) commercial product.

At the end of the 1990s, the site of sanofi-aventis in Frankfurt, Germany, formerly Hoechst, developed pilot units and large-scale production of human recombinant insulin from a genetically modified Escherichia Coli strain.
As part of the commercial offer provided by the Commercial and External Partnership Industrial Affairs (CEPIA) at sanofi-aventis for human recombinant insulin, Generex, in cooperation with sanofi-aventis, will benefit from sanofi-aventis' ability and expertise to offer quality and regulatory support.

K-State's Food Safety and Security Group to Conduct Advanced Testing on Wataire's Water Purification System
WOODLAND HILLS, CA, Dec 09, 2009 -- Wataire International Inc. (OTCBB: WTAR) today announces that Kansas State University will undertake advanced testing on Wataire's purification system in its Atmospheric Water Generator's (AWG) for control of Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7 and other potential waterborne hazards.
Wataire is working with the internationally renowned Food Safety and Security Group at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas to evaluate the company's water synthesis and purification system for control of Escherichia coli O157:H7 and other microbiological hazards. The studies will be conducted in biolevel 2 laboratories to allow for pathogen inoculation and quantitative determinations of the reductions obtained through Wataire's unique UV-based purification system.
Wataire's President and CEO Robert Rosner said, "The goal of these studies is to further demonstrate the ability of our system to synthesize pure, chemical free water from humidity in the air without the risk of microbiological contaminants like E. coli." Mr. Rosner further states: "We are delighted to have Dr. James Marsden, Regent's Distinguished Professor of Food Safety and Security at Kansas State University, to lead the research team; a late March 2010 timeframe is anticipated for the report." Follow-on testing will be conducted for viruses including H1N1 and Cryptosporidium.

Kat Exploration Inc. Signs Letter of Intent to Purchase 100% of the "Twi-Lite" High Grade Gold Property
