Dell agrees sale of Polish manufacturing operation

(EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Computer maker Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL) said on Wednesday that it will sell its manufacturing plant in Lodz, Poland to Taiwan-based electronics company Foxconn Technology Group (TPE:2354).

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Following the transfer of ownership Dell will become a customer of Foxconn's manufacturing services in Poland. It will continue to source desktop and notebook computers, servers and storage systems for customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Lodz via Foxconn.

The current Dell employees in Lodz will keep their jobs.

The deal is subject to European Union regulatory clearance.
