Telerik Releases JustCode Solution for Real-Time Code Analysis
Nov 20, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Telerik, a vendor of development tools and user interface components for .NET, announced the release of its JustCode add-in for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and 2008.
A multi-language solution, Telerik said that JustCode is designed to increase developer productivity through real-time code analysis, unobtrusive code navigation, and smart refactoring.
"Enhancing our portfolio with an indispensible productivity tool like JustCode marks another milestone in our efforts to minimize development complexity and coding time for .NET developers," said Hristo Kosev, Telerik CTO. "When working with large solutions, peak performance is essential; add-ins that slow Visual Studio are intolerable. We saw the need for a tool that improves productivity without compromising performance and designed JustCode to work for developers without infringing on Visual Studio's operational speed. We believe that JustCode will be a valuable part of every developer .NET toolbox."
Telerik reported that JustCode's greatest benefits lie within its solution-wide analysis module. The module works incrementally in a separate background process, allowing it to work rapidly while leaving Visual Studio's processes unaffected by analysis tasks. As a result, Visual Studio remains responsive and unhindered by JustCode during editing.
Additionally, with a cross-language code analysis engine, JustCode handles solutions using multiple languages, undertaking code navigation and search, refactoring, and coding assistance for C#, VB.NET, XAML, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, XML. Telerik said that JustCode also raises the bar for JavaScript productivity with its support for JavaScript code analysis, code navigation, and refactorings.
Originally developed by software development and consulting firm, Omnicore, JustCode was acquired by Telerik in 2009. Omnicore's company founders, who performed doctoral research in the area of code analysis, have since joined Telerik as part of its ongoing JustCode product development team.
The first version of JustCode is now available, with a beta go-live license. The product will be launched commercially in Q1 2010.
