According to the company, NYSE Euronext has deployed the Force10 C-Series resilient switches and the S-Series access switches to power its 10GbE command-and-control management network designed to ensure that customer transactions and quotes are handled on a daily basis across its global trading platforms.

The network built on Force10 switches allows the IT staff to deploy, monitor and troubleshoot the global trading platform, enabling secure, out-of-band management. The company's FTOS operating system software delivers resiliency features and an industry-standard CLI across the variety of C-Series and S-Series platforms that are deployed, making the network easy to manage and scale.

The Force10 switches deliver high port density and resiliency features designed to minimise forklift upgrades and lessen network complexity. With up to 384 line-rate 10/100/1000Base-T or 64 line-rate 10GbE ports, the C-Series resilient switches enable NYSE Euronext to grow the 10GbE network as its global trading platform expands.

NYSE Euronext (NYX) is a operator of financial markets and provider of trading technologies.
