The technology is also being implemented by 1&1's subsidiary, GMX.

The provider, Across System, did not disclose any financial details of the agreement, announced today.

The Across Language Server is a central software platform for all corporate language resources and for controlling translation processes and workflows. The system simplifies, accelerates and improves the management, coordination, and implementation of translations, while an open interfaces enables the direct integration of corresponding systems, such as CMS, catalogue or ERP solutions.

It includes a translation memory and a terminology system for centralised management and maintenance of language data, as well as powerful workflow components for controlling and processing internal and external translation jobs allowing all parties involved in the localisation process to be seamlessly integrated.
