HyperTransport Consortium Presents at The Linley Tech Seminar, Data Center Networks
(Market Wire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/06/09 --
What: A morning session on data center networking system interconnects
during The Linley Group's Data Center Networking Seminar. The
HyperTransport Consortium will educate attendees on the latest
features offered by the industry's highest performance, lowest
latency interconnect technology, including the new high-node count
(HNC) specification. HNC has been developed to address the need
for highly scalable, resource-efficient, energy-efficient, and
cost-optimized computing platforms. Attendees will learn how this
new specification will transform the data center, cloud computing
and supercomputing applications.
HyperTransport Consortium member, Numascale AS, will participate
at an exhibit table. Numascale's NumaConnect(TM) technology enables
computer system vendors to build scalable, resource-sharing and
fully virtualized server clusters at a fraction of the cost of
current enterprise systems, utilizing the HyperTransport
interconnect standard.
Who: Mario Cavalli, general manager of the HyperTransport Consortium,
will present.
When: Cavalli will present during the second session titled "Data Center
Interconnects," which takes place on Tuesday, November 10, 2009
from 9:45 - 11:45 a.m. The Numascale exhibit will take place
during lunch from 11:45 a.m. - 1p.m and during the evening
reception from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

About the HyperTransport(TM) Technology Consortium
The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit
organization that licenses, manages and promotes HyperTransport Technology.
The HyperTransport Consortium was founded in 2001 by leading technology
innovators like AMD, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, NVIDIA, PMC-Sierra and Sun
Microsystems and counts more than 60 industry-leading members worldwide,
including AMD, Broadcom, Cisco, Cray, Dell, HP, IBM, NVIDIA and Sun
Microsystems. Consortium membership is based on a yearly fee and it is open
to companies interested in licensing the royalty-free use of HyperTransport
technology and intellectual property. Consortium members have full access
to the HyperTransport technical support database, they may attend
Consortium meetings and events and may benefit from a variety of technical
and business promotion services that HTC offers at no cost to its members.
