'Iliad merges hosting subsidiaries Dedibox and Online'

Nov 06, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- French broadband group Iliad has merged its Dedibox hosting service provider into its Online subsidiary, writes Journal du Net. The merger allows Iliad to provide all of its hosting and domain name registration services within a single company. Online provides the Bookmyname registry service, Online.net shared hosting service and now Dedibox, private server hosting. Online has stopped selling Dedibox's EUR 29.99 entry-level shared hosting service in favour of the Dedibox XL offer costing EUR 49.99 per month. Dedibox made a EUR 1.14 million profit on a EUR 5.1 million turnover last year, compared to Online's EUR 974,000 profit on EUR 2.8 million.
