North Shore-LIJ Launches Mobile Website

The North Shore-LIJ Health System and Element115.net announced the launch of a mobile version of the NSLIJ Health System's corporate website -- northshorelij.com -- utilizing the web technology solution of Element115.net.
According to North Shore-LIJ, the new platform enables mobile web users to quickly retrieve address information, phone numbers, directions and maps to North Shore-LIJ's 14 hospitals and other facilities throughout the New York area, as well as phone numbers and addresses for more than 7,000 doctors affiliated with the health system.
"If you're in transit and need to find the nearest emergency room for yourself or a loved one, accessing online information quickly can save precious time," said Jeffrey Kraut, Senior VP of Strategic Planning and Marketing at North Shore-LIJ. "This new web platform enables Blackberry or iPhone users to input information and retrieve the location and phone numbers of North Shore-LIJ's 14 hospitals."
The mobile website that went live on October 30, is the latest feature of North Shore-LIJ's new corporate website, which launched in September 2009 on Element115.net eHealth Accelerator and FatWire Content Server content management platform.
The North Shore-LIJ Health System cares for people of all ages throughout Long Island, Queens and Staten Island -- a service area encompassing more than five million people. The health system consists of 14 hospitals, 18 long-term care facilities, The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, three trauma centers, five home health agencies, a hospice network and dozens of outpatient centers.
Element115.net is a national eHealth solutions company with expertise in information technology and healthcare marketing strategies.
