ISSA Webinar: The Audit-Ready Datacenter -- Driving Missteps, Blindspots, Pain and Resource Consumption Out of Compliance
(Market Wire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SANTA CLARA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/04/09 --
Efficient auditing by security teams
involves more than centralized logging, canned reports and searching access
and event data. The secret to reducing audit costs and managing risk is a
process of pragmatically refining policies and controls that directly
support IT business services and make compliance subordinate to best
security practices. "The Audit-Ready Datacenter" is a webinar that will
show how to drive the blind spots, pain and resource consumption out of
compliance. It examines specific trends, tenets and considerations to
implement more automated means to establish and monitor controls, to track
configuration, identity and operating baselines, and to proactively
integrate security with business processes.
Presented by AccelOps, an IT service
management innovator, and security and enterprise management research firm
The Ogren Group, the webinar will be of particular interest to security and
auditing professionals serving mid-tier enterprises. ISSA.org will host
the online seminar on Thursday, November 19th at 1:00 P.M. EST/10:00 A.M.
PST. To register, visit
http://www.accelops.net/audit-ready.html. Registrants will also receive a
whitepaper that examines the future of SIM and Log Management.
In the audit-ready datacenter, the security analyst and operating center
break down the silos between IT and business units, continuously improve
and align controls, and as a result can more efficiently respond to
compliance threats, violations and audit challenges. Questions that
speakers Eric Ogren, principal analyst at The Ogren Group, and Scott
Gordon, vice president at AccelOps, will answer are:
-- How are compliance mandates converging and what is the growing
dependence of technology auditing in executive conversations?
-- What are the tenets of the audit-ready datacenter and how can they
provide oversight and extend security policies?
-- What are the leading datacenter control considerations that impact
adherence, auditing and investigations?
-- Where are log and security information management systems audit
constrained?
-- What enabling technologies can enhance CCM, control monitoring,
compensating controls, security responsiveness, documentation and audit
results?
