Qi360 Anti-virus Software will be Totally Free

Once Chinese anti-virus software vendors launch free products, their users will save as much as CNY 10 billion each year, Qi Xiangdong, general manager of Qihu360, one of China's top-ranking anti-virus software vendors, said during the 2009 Internet Conference today.
From Mr. Qi's perspective, Internet users are entitled to enjoy free anti-virus products. Without Internet users, all Internet companies will die.
In the meanwhile, the general manager confirmed that his products would finally be entirely free, helping Chinese Internet users save CNY 10 billion a year.
What Mr. Qi says echoes the opinion of Zhou Hongyi, chairman of Qihu360, who once said the Internet era should be a free era. Zhou believes that Chinese anti-virus software vendors should learn to turn Web traffic into commercial value.
