'Reliance manages live CCTV footage for Stena Line'

(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) India-based network and application delivery services provider Reliance Globalcom has extended contract with Stena Line IT Services to manage the distribution of live CCTV footage across the ferry operator's European network. The new two-year deal, worth over USD 3.5 million, will deliver high-bandwidth Ethernet services to key port locations across Scandinavia and Poland, enabling real-time CCTV security camera footage from all sites to be continually transmitted and monitored remotely. The new developments mean that Reliance Globalcom now provide an integrated MPLS and Ethernet hybrid network to Stena Lines which transmit the high-bandwidth CCTV footage and can be easily scaled to support video-conferencing, VoIP or other converged communications applications. Full network management, fault identification and network usage portals also provide transparency and service assurance to a single point of management, regardless of the underlying technologies or carriers, providing Stena Line with the ability to prioritise application usage.
