Oct 28, 2009 (EWORLDWIRE via Comtex) -- EVO, the first open source game console, is expected out of beta Nov. 5, 2009. EVO is the first fully supported open source game console designed for both mainstream and open source users. The company sold several beta units to resellers and customers with excellent feedback.

The latest EVO Smart console will improve on the beta unit features and load 50 percent quicker than the current EVO beta console units. EVO will ship with 64GB solid state drive with additional storage available in the Envizions' cloud. Only 500 to 1,000 new solid state EVO units will be available for the holidays, and current EVO beta unit customers will be provided a special low discount hardware/software upgrade based on unit model.
