Interactive Intelligence Named among World's Top 500 Software and Service Providers

INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- Software Magazine has ranked global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) (Nasdaq: ININ), among the world's 500 largest software and service providers.

Interactive Intelligence advanced in this year's ranking for the ninth year in a row, placing 194th with 2008 revenue of $121.4 million. This represents a 10.5 percent growth rate over revenue from 2007.

"The 2009 Software 500 showed healthy results with total revenue of $491.3 billion worldwide in 2008, representing an 8.8 percent growth rate from the previous year," said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. "Interactive Intelligence should be extremely proud of its ranking this year with a faster-than-industry growth rate." "We've climbed 73 places over the last three years on this prestigious benchmark list," said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald E. Brown. "This steady climb underscores our vision for providing the most innovative IP communications software to help customers reduce costs and improve service - two absolute imperatives in today's challenging economy." The Interactive Intelligence all-in-one IP communications software suite, first released in 1997, was designed to eliminate the cost and complexity introduced by multipoint products. The company's software is ideal for contact centers and enterprises seeking to lower costs and improve customer service through more effective interaction management.

"The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research and create a short list of business partners," Desmond said. "It's a quick reference for vendor viability. As a vendor on this list for nine years running, Interactive Intelligence has clearly shown that it can consistently execute on its vision for developing innovative software solutions." The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2008. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. The complete Software 500 list can be found at www.softwaremag.com.
