LAWRENCE, Aug 29, 2009 (The Eagle-Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Thieves went into a 19 Custer St. apartment through a window and out the front door with two video game consoles in tow Thursday night, police said.



Crystal Silva told Officer Jaime Adames she came home at 10:40 p.m. to find the door and windows in her apartment open. Police believe someone climbed onto the trash barrels under the kitchen window and crawled inside, police said.

Silva reported an XBox video game console, a Nintendo Wii video game console, a computer hard drive, telephone and camcorder missing, police said.Antique golf clubs stolen HAVERHILL -- Two antique golf clubs were stolen from the common hallway of a Grove Street apartment building, police said.


Jeffrey Janvrin, 193 Grove St., called police at 7:31 p.m. Thursday to report the clubs, valued at $50, missing. His apartment had not been entered, he said, but has been broken into in the past. Police advised Janvrin to remove the rest of his property from the hall.

Vandalism: 300 Canal St., property damaged, 7:09 a.m.
