ANXeBusiness Corp. Announces the Availability of Transnet 2.0
ANXeBusiness Corp., a leading provider of networking and security managed services, has announced the availability of Transnet 2.0, an enhanced EDI platform for streamlined e-commerce transactions. With version 2.0, ANX has transitioned Transnet to a new, enhanced technical platform that provides users with improved capabilities beyond sending and receiving purchase orders.
Built on a foundation of seamless information flow between business partners, Transnet 2.0 customers are now able to send and receive all EDI document types, including invoices and advanced shipping notices (ASNs), and leverage many new features all on a single connection.
"No matter the transaction type, data standard or communication protocol, Transnet 2.0 provides the most consistent and reliable data processing for the automotive aftermarket," said Kevin Pierce, general manager, Transaction Delivery Services for ANX. "By providing an organization with a single connection to one-hundred percent of its customers and suppliers, Transnet 2.0 will lower the expenses of organizations that currently utilize multiple B2B services providers and will deliver service level guarantees unequalled in the automotive aftermarket."
New features of Transnet 2.0 include:
The ability to have a single, global platform for electronic transactions regardless of the standard. Whether X-12, EDIFACT, XML or IPO, Transnet 2.0 translates between all formats for the most cost-effective e-trade.
If trading partners are using AS2, AS3, Secure FTP, VANs or the Partnership Network, Transnet 2.0 connects to these protocols through a single interface, reducing management costs.
Transnet 2.0 seamlessly connects organizations with trading partners who are currently unable to conduct electronic commerce.
"Companies who are able to make a single connection to a B2B service provider will realize the significant benefits in cost reduction, B2B technical capabilities, supply chain visibility, and trading partner satisfaction," Pierce said.
During the last quarter of 2008, ANX acquired the assets of CSCI Inc., including the Virtual Private Network (VPN) portion of CSCIs OfficeScreen business and the VPN division of Positive Networks (News - Alert), Inc. and its flagship product, PositivePRO. These acquisitions mark the third and fourth that ANX has made within the last two years, including the purchases of Management Information Systems Group (MISG) in December 2006 and Virtual Services, Inc. in July 2007.
