Astaro: Astaro offers free trial of its integrated security appliances

Astaro, a leading vendor of integrated security appliances, today announced that its email and web security appliances would be made available for customers to trial for 30 days without charge. The "Try Before You Buy" offer allows customers to see how the Astaro Mail Gateway and Astaro Web Gateway can offer comprehensive security for their IT environments, and covers both physical hardware appliances as well as virtual appliance versions.

To take advantage of this scheme, organisations can either contact their local Astaro channel partner, or contact Astaro directly via try@astaro.com. Once signed-up for the programme, the appliance of choice will be sent across free of charge for trial. At the end of the period, the organisation can either choose to buy the appliance, or return it to Astaro without incurring any shipping costs.

The Astaro Web Gateway offers complete protection for all business data transferred over the web, including malware detection, application control, URL filtering and bandwidth management. The Astaro Mail Gateway is a simple route to complete email security, including protection against spam and other malware transmitted via email, email encryption and remote access support via SSL VPN. Both appliances are available as physical hardware systems, or alternatively as virtual appliances that can be run on VMware virtual infrastructure.
