In his position at MRV, Zeev Draer is responsible for leading and promoting MRV's flagship Carrier Ethernet product lines in the Metro Ethernet access market. With 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Draer is also an active member of the Metro Ethernet Forum and frequently participates in industry events, making technology outlook presentations at seminars, conferences and tradeshows around the world.

Over the last decade, no other widely adopted carrier network technologies have delivered more performance and price improvements than optical DWDM and Ethernet, which hold the key to building future-proof networks that cost-effectively scale to meet the exploding data and video traffic demand brought on by consumer and enterprise services. This session details how operators can leverage next-generation optical and Ethernet network solutions to deliver high-capacity retail and wholesale services, allowing attendees the chance to hear about the experiences of one of the world's pioneering carriers.

"Zeev's extensive background in Ethernet technology and telecommunications has made him a driving force not only in MRV's leadership team but also in the Metro Ethernet access market as a whole," said Noam Lotan, president and CEO of MRV Communications. "His wealth of experience has made him an important asset to this company and will bring a particularly knowledgeable perspective to this panel."

Light Reading's Ethernet Expo will be held Oct. 20-22 at the Hilton in New York. Now in its fourth year, the expo is the 10th major-carrier Ethernet event the publication has held on three different continents since the inaugural Ethernet Expo in 2005. The conference will have a full range of speakers across the industry spectrum including service providers, enterprise users, investors, analysts, and equipment, software, and component suppliers.
