Second Order of the Neonode N2 Touch Screen Phone Placed for Nationwide Distribution in Turkey
STOCKHOLM, Sweden --(Business Wire)-- Neonode (NASDAQ:NEON), the Swedish mobile communication company that develops touch screen technologies and designs mobile handsets, today announced that its Turkish Istanbul-based distributor MEP ILETISIM ve Dis Tic. A.S. (MEP) placed a second order of the Neonode N2 multimedia touch screen phone. Nationwide sales of the Neonode N2 has been initiated and the touch screen phone is being rolled-out to selected outlets across the country.
After placing an initial order of the Neonode N2 Black earlier this year MEP, the appointed distributor to Turkcell the most important operator in the region with over 60% market shares, has started its nationwide sales of the Neonode N2 Black and also placed a second order of the multimedia touch screen phone, adding the vivid colors Lime (green), Azure (blue) and Rubine (red) to its portfolio.
As one of the smallest touch screen handsets currently available on the market, the Neonode N2 is designed to be used by one hand allowing the user quick and easy access to all content. The unique tap and sweep user interface enables easy text message language selection, allowing the user to toggle between any language, alphabet and keyboard with just a touch of a finger.
MEP maintains over 3000 active outlets throughout Turkey, one of Europe's largest mobile phone markets with a GSM subscriber base of 58 million.
