CLEVELAND --(Business Wire)-- Blue Spark Technologies, the market's leading supplier of thin, flexible printed battery solutions used in a wide range of industry applications including RFID, announced today that Peter Kuzma, vice president of Business Development for Blue Spark, has been named as a panelist for today's U.S. Senate Caucus-RFID Technology Council Event in Washington D.C.

The panel, co-sponsored by IEEE-USA, the International RFID Business Association and the RFID Technology Council, includes industry thought leaders from top U.S. companies involved in RFID, along with staff members of several senators. Panelists will address: 'Making Dollars and Sense: U.S. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Companies, the Global Market and the U.S. Government.'

According to Mr. Kuzma, a key objective for the panel is to help enlighten the U.S. Senate on how our government can support American entrepreneurs involved in RFID so that U.S. companies can develop products and services that create a share of the revenue opportunity from global adoption of RFID, along with insuring that the USA RFID ecosystem develops versus letting this key emerging technology depend on off shore resources.

"For Blue Spark Technologies, the panel provides a forum to discuss how the integration of printed battery and printed electronics technologies into RFID solutions is adding new value. In addition, we will address potential ways the U.S. government can help or hinder U.S. companies as they continue to develop 'next generation' RFID solutions," said Kuzma.

In addition to Mr. Kuzma from Blue Spark, panelists includes: moderator James Clark, from XIO Strategies; Jeff Harris, from Alien Technology Corporation; Kevin Kail, EPC Solutions, Inc., and Paul Rudolf, Arnold & Porter, LLP. U.S. Senators Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and John Cornyn (R-TX) co-chair the Senate RFID Caucus.
