Advanced Digital Institute: Advanced Digital Institute becomes Jennic partner

(M2 PressWIRE Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
RDATE:10102007

The Advanced Digital Institute (ADI) today announces that it has become
an accredited development partner of Jennic's JADE (Jennic Accredited
DEvelopers) programme.

The accreditation is ADI's first collaborative partnership, and will
see the Embedded Systems team at ADI working closely with Jennic to
carry out research and development work for Jennic's ZigBee solutions.
ADI has already developed a PDA based Windows Mobile interface to
Jennic's wireless ZigBee modules in the area of Home Automation and it
is actively pursuing a technology interest in large scale ZigBee
network implementation.

Russell Wilkes, Sector Manager for the Embedded Systems team at ADI
said, "We are very much looking forward to establishing a long term
collaborative partnership with Jennic, and we are delighted that our
applied research and development activities utilising Jennic's IEEE
802.15.4 and ZigBee wireless technology have resulted in ADI being
invited to join Jennic's JADE partner program."

The JADE programme is designed to establish a tightly integrated
network of companies which help Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
reduce time to market and cost of entry into the wireless sensor market.

Colin Faulkner, Marketing Manager - ZigBee at Jennic commented, "JADE
is a key part of our program to enable our customers to develop
products with the assurance that they are working with our accredited
design partners. ADI's accreditation is therefore a testament to the
work they have already done with our wireless microcontrollers. We
are confident that the Embedded Systems team's development activities
and expertise in areas such as home automation will lead to new and
exciting applications for wireless sensor networks based on our
products".
