Leading Financial Management and Advisory Company Selects Avotus for Worldwide Communications Expense Management Deployment
TORONTO & BOSTON --(Business Wire)-- Oct. 12, 2004 --
Avotus ICM manages almost 200,000 communications elements - converts international currencies to U.S. dollars...
Avotus(R) Corporation (TSX Venture: AVS) today announced that a leading financial management and advisory company with offices in over 30 countries has selected Avotus' ICM Expense Management software to manage procurement and cost allocation of its communications network worldwide. Expense Management is a core component of the Avotus Intelligent Communications Management(TM) model which uniquely integrates detailed information about infrastructure and usage with expenses to provide organizations the ability to reduce costs and better control their business-critical communications environment.
The project, which includes both software and Avotus services, will be phased in to all geographies worldwide over the next two years. It will help the company manage almost 200,000 total elements, from voice and data circuits to mobile devices to trading desk equipment and market data, and will manage the procurement process with Asian, European, Middle Eastern and North American carriers in local currencies and convert all transactions to U.S. dollars as required.
The system will also help the customer rationalize its internal communications cost allocations to better reflect actual expenses. It will be able to fully account for trader telecommunications, including ring down circuits and market data services, to better allocate costs to appropriate accounts.
In addition, centralized inventory control will result in better use of assets and the eliminating of unnecessary or redundant equipment and circuits. Further, by automating telecommunications procurement, the company expects to virtually eliminate the procurement escalation process since installation status will be continuously available worldwide via the Internet. This best-practices approach will result in increased internal customer satisfaction and substantial process savings.
"This is a significant installation for one of the leading financial services companies in the world. It will put them ahead in telecommunications control, accountability and cost management," said Fred Lizza, Avotus president and CEO. "Avotus ICM Expense Management is the only solution that can centrally manage a network this size - almost 200,000 elements - and handle international currencies to roll up all of the inventory and procurement information into a single, manageable system."
