IBCOL Opens Washington Office; Fully Automated Biometric, Border-Crossing System on Display

IBCOL, a provider of advanced security technology, announced the opening of its Washington, D.C. office and the display of its fully automated, biometric, border control systems.

"IBCOL is the first and only company in the world to offer a complete, biometric, border-crossing solution that meets all international recommendations and standards," said Marcus Klische, Vice President, Security Technologies. "We are proud to make it available for demonstrations at our

new office in Washington, D.C."

IBCOL's integrated border control system is called SIMPLE. It's designed with a state-of-the-art Multi-Biometric Platform (MBP) that integrates all major biometric identifiers -- fingerprint, face, signature, and iris. The system works with biometric identifiers from different
companies, with different technologies, separately or in combination. The platform is scalable and easily interfaces with different applications and databases.

"Because the border control system is designed for flexibility, it can be installed immediately and then easily updated as improvements and other technologies are developed," said Klische. "It can also be easily adapted to
meet the requirements for the US-VISIT program."

Washington Office
IBCOL's Washington office is located at: 1101 30th Street, NW, Georgetown 20007. The telephone number is 202-625-8388. Businesses and government agencies are encouraged to call to schedule a demonstration of the world's leading border control system. Also please visit IBCOL's website at: http://www.ibcol-us.com.

SIMPLE Integrated Border Control System SIMPLE is designed to accelerate border crossing for registered trusted travelers, while boosting security to prevent unauthorized or uncontrolled entry. While SIMPLE incorporates iris recognition, because it is designed with the MBP, it can be adapted to include alternative biometric identifiers.

SIMPLE first captures machine-readable data on a passport/visa document, then validates its ownership using biometrics. The biometric reference data can be stored on a central database, or on the passport or visa document.

SIMPLE also supports a variety of third-party elements, such as passport readers, gates, doors, etc. SIMPLE(TM) can also operate as a stand-alone, fast-track, border gate application for a group of pre-selected travelers.
