By Janice McDuffee, TMC Copy Editor

The “first name in the last mile” of voice and data connectivity, ABi has a new addition to lead its sales and marketing team.

Christopher H. Honigman will come on board as the senior vice president of sales and marketing, bringing 30 years of experience in the field with companies including MCI, SunGard Availability Services, Broadwing (News - Alert) Communications and Interface Security Systems. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from West Chester State College in West Chester, Pa.

Thomas K. Grundman, president and CEO of ABi, said in a press release, "Chris brings extensive experience in each of our primary solutions, having a unique blend of direct expertise with world-class companies and sales organizations. Chris will be instrumental in our sales growth and product strategy as ABi continues to adopt our record rate of growth we've seen to date."

Honigman will now head the sales and marketing team for AGi products—providing cloud-based solutions including managed network services, network monitoring, hosted VoIP, firewall and managed router security and AB Eye; enabling streaming video surveillance over IP with both fixed and mobile solutions.

"ABi has an incredibly strong value proposition for multi-location organizations that wish to streamline their network management, increase their efficiency and ultimately save money," said Honigman. "ABi also has a top notch client list and are deep in engineering and systems expertise. In these uncertain times, we partner with clients to solve business challenges, complementing their internal teams. We have the ability to customize solutions to meet our customers' requirements—turning complex choices into simple solutions."
