Netscout’s new nGenius Service Delivery Manager, a real-time service dashboard providing unified visibility into end-to-end service delivery (in context with how services perform), is an innovative product.

Rich Tehrani, CEO at TMC, recently interviewed Steven Shalita (News - Alert), vice president of marketing at NetScout, about nGenius and its capabilities.

At its core, nGenius allows IT organizations to have a much more unified view of services from the data center through to the user, to better manage and understand user experience.

In the real world, this means the data center is capable, on its own, of identifying problems or trouble points.

Netscout’s products analyze all of the pieces that make up a network’s infrastructure, giving IT organizations the power to understand how the pieces of the puzzle are working together.

And there are quite a few puzzle pieces out there, these days. According to Tehrani, “...service delivery is getting as complicated as back-office systems and the increased potential for pitfalls and opportunity to improve is fairly obvious.”

That’s why products like nGenius are so helpful -- they can quickly identify any issues that may arise.

nGenius also contains “smart” network monitoring tools that actually learns to detect anomales such as deviations in network performance. This feat is accomplished by the product’s ability to learn user behavior over time.

Therefore, it can recognize what is normal from what isn’t. Which means it can more effectively manage the user experience across physical and virtual service delivery environments.
